I watched 2 other films from Sembene but THIS is the MASTERPIECE!!

I get choked up at the first minutes of the film now. For those of you who have not seen the last film of the father of African cinema, Ousmane Sembene's Moolaade 2004 YOU MUST!

Just before the explosive arrival of Makode Linde and his golliwog-Venus of Willendorf cake, we saw this riveting film about a small village in Burkino Faso and their growing conflict about Female Genital Mutilation. The leading character Colle is the woman to bring on revolution. Please watch this film. It will blow your mind. Click on the related link, Moolaade with Spanish subtitles on youtube.
